Jessica and Jay’s Cap Rock Joshua Tree Elopement was epic! Day of, I had major butterflies because I was SO excited for their elopement. It was the first time I was meeting them because I was connected with them through WEDY which is a new app for vendors and couples to find each other, Airbnb style. Typically couples reach out directly via my inquiry form, so I was a little nervous for our phone call. I was stoked when we clicked instantly! We talked all the details and went over what they wanted in their elopement pics.
This was my first time at Cap Rock in Joshua Tree and it is so freaking breathtaking. I might be crazy, but I love going to new places, doing a google earth search, then waiting till day-of to see what inspires me. We found a large cluster of Yucca trees that we decided would be the perfect ceremony spot! Jess’s Parents and brother were able to join and be there on their day to see the pair tie the knot.
After the ceremony, we took some family pics and headed off into the desert to shoot sunset romantics and boy did we get some FIRE ones. During their sunset pics, Jessica and Jay got a big kick out of my near-terrible dad jokes, so I made sure to keep those rolling throughout. The couple was open to all my creative ideas, telling their story how I saw fit, and even climbed a massive boulder, because WHY NOT.
