Joshua Tree Surprise Engagement Session

This dreamy desert session is one I won’t soon forget! Kevin and Sasha (a fellow photographer) planned a cross-country road trip from Florida and reached out to yours truly to plan a romantic Joshua Tree session along the way. Little did Sasha know that Kevin had big plans for their playdate in the desert that even I wasn’t aware of! So our session began and the chemistry between them was FIRE that the tequila they brought along only intensified. Then, in between shots, Kevin managed to whisper to me that he was about to propose!! If you’ve ever met me, you can understand that it took everything in me to hold it together and not react to this news. Haha Kevin set up his tripod to record the surprise (they had been recording their road trip along the way to make a video, so Sasha thought nothing of it- this guy thought of everything!). As I positioned them amongst the Joshua trees, the sun fell, and in the most perfect glowy moment, Kevin took his sunglasses off and dropped to one knee. She was SO surprised- it was the perfect proposal- and, after a few minutes of shock and tears, SHE SAID YES! Long story short, I love my job.
